In order for one to become a citizen they must first apply and immigrate here for at least five years through the use of a green card. The individual must also be at least 18 years old and show they have good morals, speak English, and take an oath of loyalty to the United States.
Next up is to be interviewed by an immigration officer, where the person immigrating here is asked all types of questions regarding their job, family, and basic background.
Pass A Test
Individuals migrating from another country will also be tested on their ability to read and write in English as well as their knowledge on United States history.
