Hello Fellow Americans,
It seems you’ve all have been super interested in the functioning and infrastructure of the United States government. So, today we thought it would be fitting to dive into the inner workings of the Supreme Court, starting with what a supreme court justice does on a daily basis.
So, let’s get started…
First let’s start with a standard definition of what the supreme court is, this way you could get a basic understanding before getting specific.
Definition: “The Supreme Court of the United States is the highest court in the country, and it leads the federal judiciary. It yields immense power, such as the ability to declare a congressional law unconstitutional.”
Now Its Time To Get Into Primary Responsibilities Of A Supreme Court Justice:
Decide What Cases Should Be Considered
That’s right, in order for a trial to be brought to the Supreme Court it must be considered by none other than the Supreme Court Justice.
A Supreme Court Justice has the power and responsibility to overrule and reconsider a previous jurisdiction reached by another court.
Has The Primary Vote
After holding a trial and hearing a case the Supreme Court Justice must consider and research all avenues of the case and cast a vote amongst other legal colleagues.
So, what do you think of all the responsibility a Supreme Court Justice must hold? Do you think you’d ever be able to do it? Let us know in the comments and maybe we’ll include you in our next blog!
See You Later Patriot!!!
